​​Evaluation of Botanicals Crotalaria burhia Buch-Ham and Anacardium occidentale L. against Termite Odontotermes obesus Rambur (Isoptera: Termitidae) in Wheat

Background: In recent times, termites have gained importance in agriculture as a pest wheat crop. Famers are using chemical pesticides for the management of termites, which eventually leads to degradation soil, insecticide residue, resurgence, air pollution, water pollution and also affects human health. this regard, botanicals an effective alternate insecticides is crucial. The root leaf extracts Crotalaria burhia Buch-Ham Anacardium occidentale L. against was evaluated. Methods: Field experiments were conducted assess efficacy viz., along with Indigenous technologies, biofungicide standard chemicals Odontotermes obesus Rambur wheat. An experiment laid at Research Farm, Institute Pesticide Formulation Technology, Gurgaon, Haryana during two seasons, i.e., November 2014-March 2015 December 2015-April 2016. Result: test incorporated indigenous technologies widely recommended termiticides assessed their O. locations proved be order imidacloprid 17.8 SL 350 ml ha-1 greater than chlorpyrifos 20 EC 2 l B. bassiana 2x108 500 C. extract (10%) 50 A. dust (5%) 25 kg irrigating plots neem oil (2%) dusting salt ha-1.
